A fatal ore wagon accident killed Edward Burns near the Excelsior mine, with his funeral held last Sunday. A Lima dance fundraiser netted forty two dollars for the public library, plus notes on community visits, a K P ball in Dillon, a waltz contest, and a float assay returning 164 ounces of silver from Sheep Creek basin.
