At a Dillon P T A meeting last week plans were laid for the annual Father and Son party and the Mother and Daughter meeting to be held in March. Elkhorn Road Open to Automobile Travel
A fresh four inch snowfall at Elkhorn Springs made skiing ideal and the county bulldozer kept the Dillon Jackson road open all winter. Travel Sunday by car was easy with no chains required. Saturday 16 Normal College girls from the Women’s Athletic association stayed overnight for skiing tobogganing and swimming.

Armstead Youth Dies After Motorized Bull Rake Crash
Lorin Irion 20, of Armstead, died Tuesday at Barrett hospital from internal injuries after a motorized bull rake plunged over an embankment south of Dillon. He had been bringing the rake to Dillon for repairs when it struck a guard rail near Van Camp bridge and went over the bank. Funeral services will be held Friday at Brundage chapel with Rev. Paris H. Wells officiating.

In Anaconda last Friday Whitehall shocked Dillon 16 15 to take the District 16 title after Dillon had beaten Whitehall twice this season. Whitehall edged Dillon 23 20 to win the district crown over St Peters.
