Born June 12 1874 in Avoca Wisconsin she lived on farms before marriage to Charles Hay in 1895. The couple moved from Red Lodge to Dillon four months ago where he runs a harness shop. She leaves husband three children George Grace Florence and siblings in Wisconsin and Red Lodge. Funeral arrangements pending arrival of her parents.

R S Collins formerly of Helena now Oak Park NL presented a marble chip from Mary Washington tomb at Fredericksburg Virginia to the historical library. A watercolor of the tomb is painted on the piece. Collins procured it in 1888 and brought it west to present to Judge W Y Pemberton the librarian.
