Dillon Oil Works Nears Oil Production Milestone

Work at the Dillon Oil Co shale plant progresses with old retort changes complete and brick work on the new retort begun. Metal parts arrive from Anaconda by week’s end and the crew aims to produce oil by July 10. A 13 horsepower gas engine from Salt Lake will power both retorts.

Sheriff Wyman jailed James Kabble of Craver ranch Medicine Lodge on bonds of 5000 for starting fires along the forest reserve border. Long Auto Trip Through Western Canada Reaches Dillon Stop

Mr and Mrs S Stevenson and two daughters travel from Oceanside California to western Canada in 12 days covering 1600 miles with no rain. A single tire puncture and brief Nevada rough road marked the trip. Their longest layover was Dillon where they paid respects at the grave of Samuel Davis influenza era victim. They plan to return to California via the Dakotas after nearing the coast.
