The South Omaha cattle market opens the week with no life and a shade lower prices. Feeder and stock market improved slightly after rain despite last week's drought impacts. Reported values include Choice steers 4.90 to 5.30, fair to good 4.50 to 4.85, cows and heifers 2.90 to 4.40, canners 1.75 to 2.80, choice feeders 3.50 to 4.00, light stockers 3.25 to 4.00, bulls 2.75 to 4.00, veal calves 5.00 to 6.25, with very light sheep receipts and steady prices.
Beaverhead County will receive sealed bids at Dillon by 10:00 a m on Monday July 16 1906 for a stone jail at Lima Montana built per plans on file in the County Clerk's office. Each bid requires a 10 percent certified check to ensure good faith and forfeiture if the winner fails to complete. County commissioners will open and award bids on July 16 1906 and may reject any bid.
