Two Big Companies Plan Beaverhead County Mines

Bannack Consolidated Mining Company formed in Butte with 1.25 million capital to operate 312 acres in Bannack. C. H. Hand heads plans to develop Excelsior mine and two copper bodies, with tellurium ore found, and to fund a milling and smelting plant. Bedrock Copper Mining Company organized in Blackfoot Idaho with 1.2 million capital to work eleven claims in Redrock district and begin immediate development.

The Circus Comes to Dillon by Sells and Floto

Sells and Floto circus attracted Beaverhead county residents and guests for a crowded weekend in Dillon. A street parade started at 11 and shows ran 2:15 to 3:45, with police keeping order. Elephants escaped into a fast river at Idaho Falls but were rescued. a 16 ton wagon stuck at show grounds delayed departure until Sunday morning requiring 32 horses to pull.

Transportation fares fall on Bedrock to Salmon City route

The Salmon City Recorder notes sharp fare cuts between Bedrock and Salmon City Idaho after new mail coaches started service. Old single and round trip rates of 8 and 15 drop to 13 and 9 respectively with new lines. Some fear rates may drop further, possibly to loss levels for carriers.

J B Losee Pleads Guilty In California Bribery Case

Former Glendale resident J B Losee pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in San Diego after returning a $1000 bribe from Charles M Corbaley. Losee, once a Long Beach city trustee and Montana legislator, had faced a sensational bribery trial that implicated prominent Montana figures.

Long Beach man Losee pays fine and restitution after trial

Over seventy years old and frail Losee appeared in court and paid a $500 fine and $1000 restitution to the city of Long Beach in the same moment. The city treasurer gave him a regular receipt before he left the courtroom. Reports indicate the jury stood nine for conviction and three for acquittal at Losee's trial.

Monida Couple Wed in Omaha Ceremony

Bert H. Paul of Monida married Miss May Leonard of Marion Iowa in Omaha Nebraska this Tuesday. The couple plan to return to Monida next Sunday and a wedding ball is planned by the Paul employees with committee members Lin Thompson Ben E Miller and Jake Spitzmiller signing the invitation.

County Commissioners Schedule Multiple Board Meetings

The board of county commissioners will meet at the court house next Monday as a board of equalization to review the assessor's books.
