A contest offers a base thousand dollars plus 150 dollars each to the two people who submit the largest number of yellow tickets in a single envelope. Entries must be received between June 15 and the contest end date August 31.

The Simpson and Edmonds Stock Company, after a ten week run in Butte, arrives at the Opera House for three nights starting Monday July 12. The program opens with The Ballet Girl, followed by Tit for Tat and the melodrama Bells O Shandon. Prices reduced to 60 cents for all seats. Also listed are deeds, trust deeds, and various land and location notices from Dillon and surrounding creeks and gulches.

The state of Montana to Isaac Forst. you must appear before Justice I H Harvey at Glendale on August 18, 1897 to answer a civil action brought by Thos D Powell for fifty nine dollars and costs for an implied board bill. If you fail judgment will be entered against you.
Land Office Missoula Montana issues summons for John Walchli and Emma Bentley to appear in Dillon before Clerk L J Price on August 18 1897 at 10 am to testify on alleged abandonment and to be used at the final hearing before Register John M Evans on August 25 1897. The case concerns entry numbers 1446 and 2063 in Beaverhead County and involves failure to cultivate reclaim irrigation or improve under various sections and townships.
