News reaches here that the Wisdom residence of Mr and Mrs Louis Girogre was totally destroyed by a fire of undetermined origin last Monday night. Neighbors attempted a fire brigade but irrigation with the town pump failed. contents were not saved. Milton Nay and Charles Truax were patients at Barrett hospital.

Death of H E Rodman After Sudden Illness
H L Rodman longtime Montana ranch foreman died in his Metlen hotel room after a night of paralysis. Born in Texas 55 years ago he spent 32 years in Montana including seven years as Poindexter Onr foreman and one year at Hazelbaker ranch. Survived by widow and daughter Eleanor funeral arrangements pending. He was a member of Dillon Lodge No. 1554 B P O E.

CCC improves Birch Creek to boost fishing in Beaverhead NF
Beaverhead National Forest Supervisor E D SandWing reports the first stream improvement on Birch Creek by 25 CCC enrollees over six weeks last summer. Seventeen small dam sections create riffles and pools along 2.5 miles to aid fish food and recreation, with work designed to finish by 1986 and then extend to other streams.
