Big Hole Basin described as stockman’s paradise and mining potential

Dick Hathaway argues the Big Hole basin in Wisdom Montana is a vast valley about 50 miles long with up to 225000 acres valued at $20 an acre and 100000 at $10. Cattle numbers reach 50000 head with horses valued for cavalry use. hay is the main crop, grains marginal. Mining prospects loom around mineralized hills and potential railway development by the Wisdom Jackson and Elkhorn districts could unlock wealth for bold investors.
