Dillon salesman Bert Hastings dies after brief illness
Bert Hastings a Dillon area salesman long known across western Montana died at his home about 2 AM Wednesday after a brief illness. Born August 21, 1877 in New Albany Kansas he moved to Montana 24 years ago. He worked with Ryan Fruit Co of Butte, was a Mason and member of Bagdad Shrine. Surviving: wife Mary, son Burton, sister May Mooney of Bozeman, half sister Mrs Ray Ogle of Pasadena and several nephews. Funeral arrangements incomplete.

Scholarship Meet Set for April at Beaverhead County High
Beaverhead County High School will host a district scholarship contest in Dillon on April 9. Invitations have gone to neighboring high schools. Missing Trapper Found by Sheriff in Wise River Area
A posse led by Sheriff Paul Temple searched Wise River Sunday for Monte Clinton a trapper missing about 30 days. They found him in a line cabin five miles from his home where he had holed up while seeking new trapping grounds. He said he did not notify neighbors of his absence.

The Normal College Bulldogs defeated Eastern Normal 60 to 58 in Billings on Friday in a high scoring affair before losing the next night to another opponent to drop the series.
