Trapper Franks Fined 250 Dollars for Deer Meat Off Season
Willard Franks of the Big Hole basin was found guilty in justice court of possessing deer meat out of season and fined 250 dollars by Judge Phillips. He was earlier fined 500 dollars on two other state game law charges and, for unpaid totals, will serve the penalties concurrently in county jail.

Elmo Winn Injured In Auto Accident Near Feeley
Mr and Mrs Elmo Winn suffered injuries when their car skidded on a slippery road near Feeley by the school house last Saturday. The vehicle rolled over breaking glass. Mr Winn had a badly lacerated left hand. Mrs Winn was cut by flying glass. They were taken to Butte for treatment as several other cars nearly wrecked on the same stretch.

Man Hurt As Runaway Horses Drag Sled

Divide depot burned to ground in Oregon Short Line blaze
Fire of undetermined origin destroyed the Oregon Short Line railway depot at Divide shortly after 10 30 last Thursday morning, causing several thousand dollars in damage. Station agent J H Gambill was burned slightly while trying to extinguish the flames. He had left to deliver express packages and returned to find the building in flames. Ernest McKenzie helped combat the fire but was unable to save the depot. Lack of local fire facilities contributed to the rapid destruction. Telegraph service was out for eight hours, and the Basin Mercantile company offered its warehouse as a temporary station while the structure is rebuilt. This marks the second recent blaze at Divide O S L station.

E. W. Renfro of Dell Montana won the international flier championship at Blue River park Kansas City in the 24th annual interstate trap shoot finishing 79 of 80. He earned 712.30 dollars, portion of a 4800 dollar purse, shared by five in the top group. Second place at 77 included Frank Etchen Independence Kansas O B Franz Missouri W G Warden and H D Jenny from Chicago. Eight shooters tied at 74 for third earning 228.50 each.
