Large Elks Delegation to Gather in Dillon for Initiation
A major Elks gathering is planned with over 50 candidates to take their obligations Saturday evening in Dillon. More than 200 Elks are expected to attend from Montana towns and Idaho Falls, with a special train from Butte and entertainers from Idaho Falls and Butte. Anaconda Lodge sends about 50 members, and Butte Lodge No. 240 brings about 75 members for the ceremony.

Mary Kajin, a junior in Miss Metlen's class, types with seven fingers nine teen words a minute and only three errors. Four fingers were lost in a hay derrick accident at age five, leaving only thumb and first finger on her right hand usable. She must type fifteen words a minute with ten errors, yet she exceeds that goal.

Dillon Boy Scouts Mark 20th Anniversary With Community Activities
The Dillon troop celebrated twenty years of the American Scout movement with a week of events. Activities included wearing uniforms, performing good turns, patrol neighborhood service, a vesper service at St James Episcopal Church, and a speech by Rev H N Tragitt on religion and guidance.
