Funeral services for the late Frank P Mer rigon, a longtime resident of the valley, were held Saturday afternoon at Grace Methodist church. The Rev Edward Smith of Butte and the Rev J D Smith of this city officiated, with interment in Mountain View cemetery. Out of town friends attending included Dr and Mrs W M Miller and several other local physicians and relatives from Butte Musselshell Melrose and nearby towns.

Mrs Emma Gilbert was called to Butte then attended the funeral of her sister Mrs Lena J Myers who died Sunday at her son’s Avery Idaho home. The service was at St John s Episcopal with Rev Thomas Ashworth officiating. Mrs Myers had lived in Dillon and Butte before moving to Avery in 1922.

Pioneer Resident of Madison Mrs Mary Bennett Dies
Mrs. Mary Bennett a pioneer resident of Virginia City and mother of Judge Lyman H. Bennett died at her home after a lingering illness. She came to Virginia City in 1871 with her father Rev Henry H. Prout and moved to Alden J. Bennett in 1878, former Madison State Bank president. Surviving are a daughter two brothers a sister and two grandchildren. Funeral was held Wednesday at Virginia City Episcopal Church with Rev A M Lukens officiating.

Beaverhead county high school's Ag club traveled to Deer Lodge, visiting the state prison farm, Conrad Kohrs ranch, Belgian horses and Rambouillet rams. The group toured the Deer Lodge creamery, heard a lecture from manager Joe Jorgenson, and lost to the Deer Lodge Ag team 17 to 10 before a dance.
