Charles McQuary about 50 years old and longtime resident died at the county farm last Thursday morning after illness forced him to give up work as a ranch hand. Relatives could not be located and burial was made here. Martin Quigley of Jackson was in town Tuesday on business.

Esteemed Argenta Woman Rebecca Knapp Dies at Home
After a long illness with heart trouble Rebecca Knapp, a longtime Argenta resident since 1885, died at her home Wednesday morning. She is survived by eight children, 39 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren. three children live in Argenta while five reside in Butte and Anaconda. Funeral arrangements await relatives' arrival.

Roosevelt Ball Is Great Community Event In Beaverhead
Residents from all parts of Beaverhead County gathered at the city hall auditorium Tuesday evening to celebrate the fifty fourth birthday of President Franklin D Roosevelt and to donate to the Warm Springs foundation with an estimated national contribution of 3 000 000. The event raised about 1000 after expenses and will be given to the foundation after final checks. The dance was hosted by five local groups including the Masons Niks American Legion Muem Woodmen and the Dillon volunteer fire department with music by Baxter Tomrey and Smithy orchestras.

Couple Declared Mentally Incompetent by Sanity Board
Mr and Mrs G C Stanton of the community were adjudged mentally incompetent in a district court hearing conducted Thursday. This marks the first instance in local records of two related individuals examined for sanity at once. The couple has five children recently committed to the state orphans home at Twin Bridges. The two were sent to Warm Springs State Hospital.
