Lower fire insurance rates take effect in Dillon Montana
The Board of Fire Underwriters recommended substantial rate reductions for Dillon after improvements to the water system and distribution, including a 12 inch main and cast iron mains. Rates drop about 10 percent on brick mercantile policies, 7 percent on frame mercantile policies, and about 25 percent on dwellings within 300 feet of a hydrant.

Beav erhead Placer Ground May Be Worked by Dredges
New York corporation representatives spent over a month sampling western Montana placer grounds in eight counties. J C Mitchell said Montana has thousands of acres of low grade ground potentially profitable with dredging. no large acreage secured yet. If spring leases occur, several electric dredges may be started, with expansion possible if successful.
