Armstead Rancher Killed in Highway Accident
Patrick McMenomey about 50, was killed on a state highway near Armstead while refilling his radiator beside his car. A truck driven by Lowell Martinell struck him as he stood beside the vehicle on the wrong side of the road. He died instantly from a broken neck. survivors include his father three sisters and two brothers. Funeral at St Rose Catholic Church in Lima with burial at Mountain View.

Employment Planned for Local Teachers

William E Gray aged 67 a longtime Dillon resident died last Thursday at Barrett hospital from complications believed to stem from a past stroke He was born in Stanton Illinois came to Montana about 1899 moved to Dillon two years later He was a veteran city worker and past noble grand of Apollo Lodge I C O F Survived by two sons Alva of Greybull Wyoming and Lawrence Funeral services were held Sunday at Brundage chapel with Odd Fellows officiating and burial followed at Mountain View Cemetery

Lindsay Faces Hit and Run Count in Butte Hearing
J. J. Lindsay, arrested last April in Butte for crashing into a car owned by George Christensen and fleeing, was re-arrested and brought here for a hearing by Deputy Barry. He had jumped a $500 bond set after the accident. Mr and Mrs B A Dallas of Dell spent Thursday in the city.

Erastus Blair Sprinkle known as Bud passed away at his South Washington home after a brief illness. Born January 7, 1850 in Virginia, he cowboyed across Texas Missouri and Utah before settling near Dillon. Survived by three daughters, two sons Blair and Joe, a sister, three grandchildren, and many friends. funeral held at First Baptist Church with burial in Mountain View Cemetery. Fat Lamb Display Draws Notable Interest at Smith Hughes Show
The annual fat lamb display by the Smith Hughes agricultural department at the county high school attracted much interest last Saturday at the Metlen block. Edward Bay led the project with 25 lambs and an average purchase weight of 59 pounds. Supervising teacher Bernard Williams oversaw the effort, with entries by Chris Bay Chester Hale and Wes Mares.
