The Amalgamated Copper Company closed a deal for a half interest in the Indian Queen quartz lode, Bridger placer claim, Beaverhead quartz lode, and smelter with a two year option on the rest for 84 553. J W McLain a Birch creek rancher and former Butte businessman was arraigned before Justice of the Peace Rich on stealing a steer from neighbor Frank P Tait. He pleaded guilty and the preliminary hearing was set for Tuesday December 27 attended by Stock Inspector John Collins. Mrs Lena Myers has returned home to Denver.
