Hunter Kills Cinnamon Bear Near Elkhorn Springs
Curt Harrison killed a large cinnamon bear during a camping trip at Elkhorn Springs after the animal climbed onto his wagon seat and woke him. He crippled another which fled with two cubs. both cubs escaped. Campers Elliott, Eph Stoller, and Mrs Madison witnessed the incident and returned to Dillon frightened.
