The county commissioners met in special session as a board of correction. They denied Dolman Mercantile tile company’s request for a $300 assessment reduction and approved increases for Bannack Dredge Co Richard Gallagher Gold Dredge Co Peter Hendrickson Red Rock Salmon City and Gibbonsville Stage Co Robert Selway Butte Meat and Provision Co. A 1899 tax levy was set with General and School Funds at 4 mills each Road Fund 2 mills Bridge Fund 1 1/2 mills Poor Fund 1 mill and Interest and Sinking Fund 1 mill for a total of 18 mills. State taxes total 21 1/2 mills plus several state sublevies. A special poll tax of $2 and a road tax for certain able bodied men were also imposed. An unrelated medical testimony notes Renick Hamilton of West Jefferson Ohio cured Rectal Fistula with Bucklen’s Amia Salve sold by Central Pharmacy.
The board approves finishing seven attic rooms at the State Normal building to add five recitation rooms a gymnasium and a meteorological observatory. Changes include enlarged north gable windows dormer windows new lighting and a raised floor in key rooms plus a new access door and altered roof truss. A new auxiliary steam plant will be installed to boost heating capacity and an off site water tank relocation is planned.
Roomy compartments easily cleaned and ventilated with standard sizes at low prices. O E Morse advertises bargains. Patterson will leave tomorrow evening for Salt Lake City to spend a few weeks. No preaching Sunday at the Methodist church due to Rev Smith’s travel. Sunday school will be held at the usual hour.
Charles Jones of Idaho sustained severe injuries when a mower team ran away causing multiple fractures to the seventh to ninth ribs and lung laceration with air embolism. He is reported in critical condition but slowly improving under Dr. Reyburn of Barnack and Dr. Jones after air escapes and cauterization treatment.

Ford Burtch of Pageville was a Dil lon visitor Saturday. Mr and Mrs H J Thompson and H D Weenink visited Twin Bridges last Wednesday. Haines Co new harness shop is being fitted and will move soon. Mrs Jas Selway visited Noblesville near Sheridan last week with D B Nobles as he returned from Butte. The M E church ladies gave a farewell reception to Rev and Mrs Cattermole with an impromptu program and light refreshments.
