Andrus bound over after heated Beaverhead county hearing
In Beaverhead county Justice Virmillion bound rancher Harry Andrus over to district court on $500 bond after a two day preliminary trial. Attorneys Barbour Norris defended Andrus against allegations he altered a horse brand belonging to Frank Rife with intent to steal. Witnesses testified to branding changes and an assisted castration, while Andrus denied intent to commit a crime.

O K Paul Fatally Shot While Out in Montana Country
O K Paul of Lima Montana died after a double barreled shotgun discharged while he and companions were returning from a fishing trip near Lima. The accident occurred as he reached for halters and the weapon exploded. He died at home with his family nearby, leaving a wife Mary Geneve Hammon and son Ervin Belmont. Funeral services were held at the Lima Masonic hall under Masons and Knights of Pythias auspices with heavy local participation.
