Rider injured after rake team runs away at Lovell ranch

Decrease In Primary Registration in Beaverhead County
Registration for the August 26 primary fell by sixty voters from 1922 levels in Beaverhead County. Lima gained 71 eligibles, Wisdom 41, and Dillon West 10, while Dillon North lost 58, Dillon South 14, and Grant 20. In Dillon 69 eligibles were dropped. countywide 3 222 are registered with 1 595 in Dillon and four city precincts composing nearly half the county’s electorate.

Legion Carnival Proves Most Enjoyable Affair
Beaverhead post of the American Legion closed its second carnival with the largest crowd of the three nights. Proceeds will fund plans for the state convention next June. Bulger's Comedy Animal circus entertained a large audience with trained ponies dogs and other pets. Street dancing, four shows, booths, and a clown band kept attendees amused across two evenings.
