Beaverhead county voters may approve a new high school gym and industrial building if a favorable plan meets at the upcoming fall election. The Dillon board discussed enrollment growth, classroom crowding, and hiring an additional physical training oriented teacher to lead the expanded program.
The Grand Canyon hotel in the National Park was built and furnished for under $500,000. It includes a steam laundry in connection, spring water piping to all rooms, an ice making plant, vacuum cleaning system, cold storage, and a luxurious sunroom. The 375-room facility is well furnished and features modern amenities.

Deputies pursued one man toward Dillon by tie pass and later caught him near Apex. The other two were stopped at Melrose as they headed for Butte. The fourth suspect remained missing at press time.
The Scenic theatre has drawn full houses for a week with seven amateur numbers winning prizes led by Babe Lyons. Vaudeville by Bee and Connolly entertained Sunday and Monday with rope skills and horn music. Upcoming features include Enoch Arden in two reels and Diamond Ranch and Dante's Inferno, cost over $500,000, touted as premier productions.
