Beaverhead Geologic Survey Planned for Summer
Beaverhead Mining Association president William Logan reports a geological survey of the region south of the Ermont mine between Bannack and Argenta districts will be conducted this summer. Dr. Perry of the Mines staff favors the project after a preliminary survey. Work likely between June 15 and July 15, the plan follows approval by Francis A. Thomson of the Butte School of Mines.

Bannack Resident John A Schwarz Dies After Brief Illness
John A. Schwarz a well known Bannack mining man died at Barrett hospital Saturday night after a brief illness. A Texas native born 60 years ago he had lived in Beaverhead county since 1916 with no known surviving relatives. Funeral plans indicate a Bannack service likely Tuesday afternoon.

Beavers To Hold Interclass Meet At Fair Grounds
Beaverhead County high school announces its annual interclass track meet for Thursday and Friday at the fair grounds. Coach Brick Breeden says about 40 athletes will participate with 12 students serving as assistant coaches. The event feeds into district and state meets if the school qualifies. Events include sprints, hurdles, jumps, discus, javelin and a possible relay.

District Officer Visits Dillon Unit of American Legion Auxiliary
