A city election on Monday produced 209 total votes with all caucus nominees winning. Mayor B W Emerick led with 201 votes, A C Gruwell won police magistrate with 200, F C McFadden took city treasurer with 193, and aldermen included L P Phillips 82 W E Stinson 29 A F Waldorf 72 H M Brundage 62. Former Armstead Resident Alfred W. Hansen Dies
Alfred W. Hansen known as Al died last Friday at the state sanitarium in Ghleri after months of illness. He was born in Portland 42 years ago and moved to Armstead in 1925 where he ranched and later ran a soft drink business. An ardent sportsman and hunter, he was remembered for his genial spirit and willingness to help friends. He is survived by his widow and a brother. the body was brought to Dilln.
