James H. Ashworth, 41, was crushed by a rock fall 800 feet underground at the Thompson Gold Mining Co. mine in Bannack. Rollin Thibodeau survived. 14 others aided before discovering Ashworth dead. Funeral Monday at Brundage chapel with burial in Bannack cemetery. Survived by two sons, mother, two brothers, two sisters, and grandmother.
