Pow Wow Roundup Delivers Big Crowd and Safe Rodeo Thrills
The Dillon Volunteer Fire department hosted the annual Pow Wow Roundup ending last Sunday with strong crowds and a well run show. Bucking horses, wild steers, and racing kept spectators lively while no major injuries occurred. Performers included Roy Lund George Harrison Art Gruchay and Bill Brady with numerous prize events and a final wind up drawing five thousand spectators in ideal weather.

Dillon youths fined for speeding in city limits

Master Sammy Carruthers son of Mr and Mrs 8 S Carruthers was injured Sunday evening when a horse kicked him on the head at the Pow Wow fair grounds. He received a scalp wound but is not seriously hurt and will be out in a few days.

Potts Buys Bond Block on South Idaho Street
Potts purchased the Bond block on South Idaho street and will take possession the first of the month. The two story brick structure houses a ground floor store and upper room. Potts plans to use the property as an investment while Dr. and Mrs. Bond prepare an overland trip to San Jose California when their new Cadillac arrives.
Judge Smith Admits Six New Citizens
Five men and one woman were admitted to citizenship last Monday by Judge Smith. The new citizens are Cesare Car pita from Melrose, Ras mus J Peterson of Melrose, Peter Jensen of Grant from Denmark, Miss Anna Huber of Dillon from Switzerland, John Bruce Christman a Canadian resident of Dillon, and Stephen J O Hag en born in Ireland and residing at Lima.
