The Chicago, Milwaukee & St Paul Railway has begun using white counterpanes on its Southwest Limited trains between Chicago and Kansas City replacing the heavy woolen blankets. Blankets will be kept in reserve for cooler nights, aiming to please sleeping car patrons with a more inviting bed.
