Virginia City Players announce a two night Dillon stop on their fall tour. On September 14 at 8 30 p m in the Dillon high school auditorium the company debuts Miriam's Crime or Innocent Sin a 19th century melodrama. The following night they present Bale of Hay Variety with barber shop quartet and musical numbers.

Many Rodeo Guests Visit Local Museum
Beaverhead County's popular museum drew rodeo visitors who examined its relics and exhibits. Mrs. Marie Anderson volunteered as guide during two rodeo evenings from six to nine, aiding Dillon guests in exploring the displays. Ten attendants kept the building open during the current ten day period.

1950 Rodeo Parade Among Bests in Dillon
Dillon and hundreds enjoyed one of the finest parade days in rodeo history. Parade routes from Pacific street to Reeder street showcased prize winners across many categories with Rob ert Wright leading the march and Ike Tucker and Doc Kelly providing entertainment. For judging, many entrants earned awards in cowgirl and horse, cowboy and horse, rodeo queens, floats, ponies, bicycles, dolls, and more. Joe Smith and the judging staff helped present one of the best parades seen in Dillon.

Dallas area readers learn 20th Century Fox crews and 80 member production team began work on Wild Fire in Missoula Montana. Services for Mrs Hoyland Held August 31
Funeral services for Mrs. Helen Hoyland who died suddenly at Barrett hospital were held Thursday Aug 31 at 2 pm in Brundage Chapel. Rev B M Alstad led, with many relatives from Dillon and elsewhere in attendance. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery. Survived by husband Gabriel Hoyland and mother Mae Kirker, plus brothers and numerous Collier relatives in Ohio California Idaho Michigan.

Ken Beegle renowned Remington expert and his wife Blanche drew a large Dillon Gun Club crowd with a live firearms display. He handled multiple Remington rifles and shotguns, shattered blocks and objects with a .22 rifle, while volunteers tossed eggs for a shotgun trick. He fired 250 rounds into a target to reveal a detailed Indian head profile.

Royal Youth Coronation Saturday in Dillon Pageant

Principal L. E. Walker reports 485 children enrolled in the first eight grades and kindergarten as of noon with large second and third grade classes requiring extra sections taught by Mrs. Golde. Current by grade totals include Kindergarten 56, first 55, second 59, third 67, fourth 47, fifth 48, sixth 50, seventh 52, eighth 51, with projections to surpass 5090 students by the end of registration, the highest since 1940.

Lightning Ignites Ranch Haystack Near Wis dom

General Assembly Held At Local High School
Principal Martin Rahl opened the general assembly as students and faculty gathered. Dan Hawkins introduced class presidents and officers while enrollment neared 200. Don R. Berger and Bert C. Cochrane of Billings purchased the Davis Motor Co. effective Sept. 1 1950 and leased the adjacent Conoco station. Berger Cochrane Motors will sell and service Ford Mercury Fordson tractors and Dearborn farm equipment and run Conoco station service. Berger is a WWII veteran formerly with Universal C I T Credit and Yellowstone Motor Sales. Cochrane worked with Parker Montana Co and Ford in Dearborn Michigan. They vow to maintain high service quality as Ben Davis did. Davis thanks Beaverhead residents for 19 years of patronage and offers no future plans.

Mansfield wins Sunbeam Treasure Chest at Rodeo event
Joe Mansfield of Grant won the Sunbeam Treasure Chest presented by the St. Rose Junior Guild at the Rodeo Monday afternoon. Rodeo Queen Jane Forsythe selected the winning number and prizes were handed to winner by Mrs. Helen Harrington. The chest held a Sunbeam mixer toaster waffle baker egg cooker iron and coffee maker.

Foreman Injured At Rock Crusher
S. T. Cermak, foreman at Morrison-Knudsen rock-crushing plant near the Pipe Organ Lodge, was severely injured in a rock slide yesterday morning. He was rushed to Barrett hospital and flown to a Great Falls hospital for emergency treatment by a brain specialist in critical condition.
