The Dillon squad won five of eight games in a state tour, taking both ends of a Roundup doubleheader 6 to 1 and a rough 11 to 0 loss at Lewistown. Jensen and Wichards pitched in Lewistown with mixed results, while upcoming game plans and a Belgrade showdown on September 6 were announced by the Belgrade Journal.

Winthrop Raymond Dead in Sheridan
Winthrop Raymond of Sheridan died unexpectedly in Dillon where he had many friends. Born October 22, 1848 in Cincinnati, he helped found the Belmont Park farm, bred fine horses, and founded Sheridan at its present location. He survived by his wife and three children Carrie W. D. and Delilah Raymond.
