Early Montana Episcopalians Chronicle Life and Faith
In this Montana Churchman excerpt Bishop Daniel Tuttle recalls his 1867 Montana ordination journey from Beaverhead Station to Virginia City and Helena. He notes baptisms, marriages, and burials totaling 1540, 239 marriages, and 215 deaths, plus cordial help from diverse communities and Catholic Father Ravalli. He reflects on pioneer church growth and gratitude to Montanans, as wells as local business notes from Dewey and surrounding stock and road projects.
