Teen age hunting law not in effect until 1958
Robert J Donlin of the Montana Fish and Game Department said the teen age certificate of competency for big game licenses does not take effect until January 1, 1958. Residents under 18 must have held a prior hunting license or obtain the certificate after safety instruction. Under 15 must present the certificate regardless of past licensure. Donlin, based in Great Falls, noted progress and urged youth to enroll in hunter safety courses to prevent accidents and promote safe hunting.
