Presbyterian Synod Plans Dillon Meeting With Prominent Guests
The Montana Synod will meet in Dillon starting Thursday Oct 11 at the First Presbyterian Church, with about sixty attendees from Great Falls, Butte and Helena presbyteries. The Woman's Missionary Society will also hold sessions, featuring Rev Drs Phraner Bradt Marshall and Mrs Palmer Wells. Big Sale A Success At Dillon Auction Of 800 Head
The Dillon sale drew buyers from across the state and distant cities, offering about 800 horses and bringing in an estimated 30 000 to 40 000 dollars. High prices prevailed for weighty stock while lighter stock sold at lower averages. Auctioneer Bert March oversaw the event with orderly crowds and full payments, including top consignments from Belmont Park Stock Farm and purchases by J E Morse C A Smith J G Erwin Garry Rameney and others. A notable feature was zero disputes as every horse was paid for and delivered.

FIRED ON AUTOMOBILEISTS NEAR DILLON
An automobile party returning from Twin Bridges was fired upon near Point of Rocks south of Dillon. Senator J M Kennedy his wife and daughter along with Misa Carson faced three drunk men in a buggy who fired three shots aimed at the auto. The car escaped in heavy sand with no injuries reported.

Were Wedded In Chicago Bride Returns To Dillon
A. C. Anderson wed Miss Ella Pond Leland in Chicago last Thursday. Anderson plans to bring his bride to Dillon after a honeymoon visiting Minnesota and Ohio, returning in about a month. Ella Pond Leland taught in Dillon Public School and State Normal College, with many friends in the community. Anderson is a longtime Dillon resident and livestock buyer, former meat market owner, and active Beaverhead County Republican.
