The Dillon community reports the marriage of Ewrys White and Nancy Featherly at 8 30 pm in the bride’s grandparents home. Dr A B Martin officiated with Miss Edith Noyes playing Mendelhon and Miss Charlotte Featherly as bridesmaid. The couple will honeymoon to Butte and eastern points, returning to live in the Mauldin residence after December 1.

The Presbyterian Synod of Montana will convene October 11 at the 1st Presbyterian Church Dillon with delegates from Great Falls Helena and Butte. Notable guests include Mrs Palmer of Chicago and Miss Glenn of New York representing church missions. The Women’s Missionary Society also meets concurrently. The public may attend the open sessions and a published program will follow next week.

Dillon Automobile & Machine Company Launches Service
A new daily round trip automobile stage line operates between Dillon and Virginia City starting last Monday, with 62 mile daytime routes via Twin Bridges Sheridan Laurin Alder and Ruby. Fares run about ten cents a mile, roughly four dollars to Twin Bridges and six dollars to Virginia City, with private hire rates from Dillon at four dollars per hour for two hours then three dollars per hour thereafter.

Dillon Boy Irvin Rich Killed in Livingston Rail Yard Accident
Irvin Abram Rich 19 or 20, of Dillon Montana, died after being struck by an engine backing in at Livingston rail yards. He had recently begun as a clerk in the Northern Pacific offices at Livingston and was returning home when the accident occurred. The drunken-like tragedy prompted an inquest and a funeral held at his Dillon home with interment at Mountain View Cemetery.
