Gilmore & Pittsburg to Extend Rail Line to Dillon

A prominent railroad official announced that Gilmore & Pittsburg trains will reach Dillon within about 70 days. Construction starts immediately to connect Dillon with Armstead, with Winters Parsons & Boomer handling the project. The company plans moving machine shops and stores from Armstead to Leadore, Idaho, and aims to boost traffic along the Lemhi valley.

Dillon to Welcome Seven Entertainments This Season

The Montana State Normal College in Dillon announces a seven number entertainment course with potential extra shows if ticket receipts cover costs. The lineup includes The Strollers Quartet Concert Company, Senator Gore, Dick Bergen Concert Company, John B. Ratto, Dr J Everist Cathell, Reno The Magician, and Adrian M Newens. Quiet Marriage Ties Miss Elizabeth Yeaman to Benji man Savage

Miss Elizabeth Yeaman of Lemhi County and Benji man Savage of Walla Walla Washington were wed Monday at the Church of the Redeemer rectory in Dillon. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Vincent in the presence of about half a dozen close friends. The bride, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Yeaman, grew up near the Agency and is well known in Dillon.

Dillon Sleuths Make Great Catch in Butte

Dillon sheriffs officers Doc Erwin and Wm Scully arrested three burglars from Dillon Dry Goods Co who stole several hundred dollars in goods. The trio James Walker James Burns and C IX Barnes plus an accomplice Cy Warren were tracked from Dillon to Butte Apex and the Cox lodging house as details emerged of a planned getaway and a trunk with fur garments. Walker Burns and Warren were found with stolen clothes and a trunk identified by Mrs Cox. Walker left for Butte soon after.

Evans of Cadillac in Detroit names Montana Auto Supply Co as Montana state agent for Cadillac cars and parts in Dillon. The local firm wins a major deal with sales staff to begin next week as Cadillac expands across Butte Anaconda Great Falls Billings and other Montana cities. Rollie Scott attended to business in Dillon while the Epworth League hosts a reception for normal and high school students Friday evening August 6. Beaverhead Wins Laurels at State Fair in Helena

Beaverhead county sent 165 delegates to the Helena state fair and earned 43 points with top prizes in crops and livestock. George Edinger won the Howard Hiatt cup for the best bushel of oats, while Frank A. Hazlebaker led the effort with help from J. Kerr. A special train eased travel, and the county honored aviator Cromwell Dixson who died in Spokane.
