A coffee hour Monday afternoon December 17 at the Andrus hotel dining room invites interested residents to discuss sewing nursery work and ward support with a nominal membership fee and a fundraising silver offering.

Shaffer's Bakery of Dillon Montana received a $10,000 business loan from the Small Business Administration to modernize and expand its facility and increase production. New Rector Instated at St James Church Thursday Night

The Rt. Rev. Chandler W. Sterling will formally institute the Rev. E. W. Andrews as rector of St. James Episcopal Church in a service Thursday night at 8. Evensong precedes the rite with Rev. James Holt of Butte, Rev. Thomas Sargent of Anaconda, and Rev. John Hay of Virginia City officiating. The bishop will preach and present the church keys. a reception follows. This marks Sterling’s first institution service since his consecration and St James’ first with him. Sterling is Montana’s new Bishop Coadjutor, to assist Bishop Daniels and succeed him next February. He hails from Illinois with past work in Wisconsin, Illinois and Nebraska.

Christmas Seal Drive Supports TB Control Efforts

Beaverhead County Tuberculosis Association drives fund raising with Christmas Seals mailed to residents. Chairs Mrs. T. F. McFadden and Mrs. E. J. Donovan lead a program emphasizing sanitation in food handling and x ray examinations. County funds totaling 240 dollars spent since June aid the campaign with five sites achieving 100 percent TB testing.

National Assembly program invites students’ families to Friday event

The third in a five part national assembly series will be held Friday morning November 30 at 9:00 in the high school auditorium.
