Dillon volunteer firemen entertained Chief Peter Sanger of Butte with a venison banquet at Odd Fellows hall. Thirty four sat to a feast as Sanger urged acquisition of a chemical engine and praised local fire and police departments. Sanger and guests, including Butte firefighters Leary and Sullivan, left for Butte on the morning train.

Mrs. Anderson Injured in Runaway Crash Near Dilion
Mrs. A L Anderson, visiting at the Roberts home seven miles north of town with her daughter Julia, was seriously injured when a frightened horse bolted the buggy. She saved herself by grabbing the dashboard but tore ligaments and lost a shoe as her foot was caught in the wheel. She is slowly improving and will be unable to use the injured foot for some time.

The Eighth grade hosts an event Thursday December 5 featuring chorus songs scenes from The Merchant of Venice and instrumental selections. Proceeds fund room and hall decorations with displays from various grades. Doors open at 7 and the program starts at 8 with 15 cent admission and light refreshments.

The county high school assembly room hosted a well received play last Saturday evening. A large audience gave hearty encores and praised each performer.
