Education leaders share panel on raising teaching standards
Dr. L O Brockmann of Montana State College spoke at a student assembly panel about raising standards in teaching. The event, presented by the Montana Education Association local, featured Ruth Schoonen and others, with college and university staff present. The MEA campus group outlined a busy year led by Rose Armour, Kermit Cole, and Ruth Schoonen, and the English Faculties elected Helen Luebben secretary. Activities included a Community Concert opening by the De Paul Infantry Chorus, Newman Club officers listed, and a busy social calendar with dances, a smoker, and a roller skating party. Western’s Ping Pong champion is John Osborne after a win over Ben Harrison.

Second place Men's Store sits 27-13 with Big Dipper 25-15, while other clubs show tighter splits and several ties including Bonds 25-16 and Eliel's 20-20. Tim Tash claimed individual highs 567 and 213 as Eliel's five posted a 992 high game.
