An extensive search began Sunday morning November 12 for Elmer Mikus of Dillon who failed to return from a deer hunting trip in the Bon Accord area on Grasshopper creek. Sheriff Paul H. Temple led a large posse for three days with multiple helpers and plane reconnaissance but found no trace, as officials deem locating him unlikely.

Sudden Death of Beaverhead Resident R Severinsky
Rudolph Severinsky aged 66 died suddenly in the yard of his Beaverhead county home on Tuesday evening November 7 likely from a heart attack. Born April 17 1884 in Austria he came to the area with his parents about 40 years ago. He leaves a brother Joe Severinsky of Butte and two other brothers. Rosary was recited Sunday in Brundage chapel. Requiem Mass was held Monday at St. Rose Church. Interment followed at Mountain View cemetery.

Charles Flynn, 74, old-time rancher of the Dell area, died Monday from injuries in an automobile accident a few days earlier. He left Beaverhead county years ago for Oregon. The body will be brought to Lima for funeral services and interment Thursday afternoon.

Jack Hurley of Wisdom won the miss-and-out shoot at Twin Bridges last Sunday with Clarence Talcott of Big Hole Trap and Gun club as runner up. Thirty five contestants from Butte Great Falls Dillon Wisdom Sheridan Jackson and Twin Bridges competed with hams and bacons awarded to most entrants. Two turkey shoots are set for Sunday November 19 at Bedrock and Jackson sponsored by the Jackson VFW post.

Veterans At Fort Harrison Entertained On Armistice Day
Dillon Lodge No. 1554 BPOE sponsored an Armistice Day entertainment for hospitalized veterans at Fort Harrison on Nov 11 1950 despite heavy snow. The Dillon Little Theatre Group and local musicians performed Aunt Lilly with cast including Lloyd Dougherty Evelyn Larson and others.
