Marriage License Issued In Butte For Baker and Gillis
George R. Baker and Neil Gillis, well known in Butte, were issued a marriage license on Monday. Baker had left for Portland to attend school but returned last week and wed Gillis, a popular telephone exchange worker. Baker, son of John S. Baker, is Beaverhead County’s first WWI enlistment from the high school class, later working in the county clerk’s office before his departure.

Mrs Burtis Dies After Long Illness in Peoria Illinois
Mrs John C Burtis of E Paso Illinois died last Saturday evening after months of nerve trouble rheumatism and cancer. She was born Clara Perry in E Paso March 2 1866 and married John C Burtis January 19 1888. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 30 pm at her home with Rev William Baker and burial in Evergreen cemetery. She leaves husband two siblings and many friends.

Musical Revue of 1922 Shines at Hartwig
The Musical Revue of 1922 at the Hartwig drew full crowds over two evenings under the American Legion Auxiliary. High school performers led routines from five treatments including a ground scene with freshmen to seniors in knickerbockers. Fern Andrus, Martha Featherly, Bernice Mellen and Jamey Cunningham headed solos. Toadie's Vagabonds provided music. Mrs. Eugene Bond staged most acts. The show featured a back-stage carpenter, a lively State Street Toddlers segment, and a bright fashion style show with Eliel Brothers outfits. James Cunningham and a chorus of students closed the revue with song and dance, leaving audiences entertained.

Red and Gun Club to Have Big Turkey Shoot
The Dillon Gun club will hold its annual turkey shoot on Sunday afternoon, November 26. All men who like to shoot are invited to participate whether club members or not. There will be plenty of big turkeys and the shooting will continue all afternoon. The club has held this event the Sunday before Thanksgiving since its organization and promises to be the best yet.
