Beaverhead Forest Receipts Shared With Montana Counties
Twenty five percent of national forest receipts for 1927 28 amounting to 540511 91 will be transmitted to states with funds for redistribution and trails under the 1913 act. Montana receives 85442 85. Beaverhead County gets 5150 63 as payment in lieu of taxes on National Forest lands used for grazing timber and barren lands. The Forest Service also spent over 10000 on a forest road project.

National Plane Delivers News to Idaho Readers
National Parks Airways pilot A W Stephenson flew Salt Lake newspapers to northern Idaho subscribers on election day. Ray Hofstetter a Dillon based radio expert employed by Montana Power spends the week in Dillon locating interference on power lines hampering reception. Beaverhead post of the American Legion organized Armistice day events in Dillon to mark the tenth anniversary of the war’s end. Board Confirms Official Beaverhead Election Count
The Beaverhead official vote tally was certified by the county commissioners at the November session.
