Mrs Nellie Lovell a respected Dillon matron and prominent leader in state lodge activities died Saturday morning in Dillon Funeral services conducted by Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star The Armistice day program planned in Dillon by Beaverhead post American Legion includes a band concert patriotic exercises football veterans banquet and public dance with events starting at 10 00 am at the Hartwig theatre. Four foxes from Dillon Superior Fox Farm placed in the money at a Rocky Mountain fox show in Blackfoot Idaho competing with animals from Montana Idaho Utah Washington Wyoming and more. They won a first a third and two fifths. Roy Forrester and H L Hatton delivered the foxes to the event.

Ed Ripley Dies in California After Brief Illness
Edward J. Ripley longtime Dillon resident and associate of Ezekiel Provost in a Beaverhead saloon died at his Los Angeles home on Saturday October 28 after a short illness. Born September 12 1851 in Clarinda Iowa he came west as a young man first stopping at Lima. He is survived by his son Elmer of Los Angeles. Funeral was held in Los Angeles.

Vance and Mangus Get Off Lightly in Federal Court
Elmer Mangus and Claude Vance pleaded guilty to the burglary of the Grant post office. Judge Bourquin sentenced them to three months in prison and a $500 fine each, with officials predicting about four months served. Both had prior escapes from the county jail.

The jury awarded Gilbert Gilbert & McFadden $4,600 plus interest from Dec 13 1928 after two hours deliberation in the civil suit against Jack Barrett.
