Oldest Dillon matron Mrs Martha Tritt dies at 91
Mrs Martha Tritt died at her daughter Effie Coon's Dillon home after months of failing health. The 91 year old was born in Indiana, came to Dillon forty years ago, and is survived by four sons John Lewis Thomas and Rueben and daughter Effie plus many grandchildren. Funeral held from Mrs Coon’s home with Rev Edward Smith at Mountain View Cemetery. Also noted Beaverhead native William Gilbert died from injuries after a horse kick. He was 47. Funeral at Brundage Undertaking, Mountain View Cemetery burial. Survived by half brother Chester Gilbert aunts Mrs Anna Hart Mrs Sarah Larimore and uncle Harvey Sullivan.

W. H. Stephenson, clerk of the court, left Monday for Miles City with thirteen year-old Matt Rebich to place him in the reform school there. Rebich cashed bad checks and stole money from a man who had befriended him. The boy is from Butte, oldest of a large family under a widowed mother.

A baby boy was born last Thursday at the home of Mr and Mrs Thos Pierce in Butte. The child is described as husky and healthy and both mother and infant are reported to be getting along nicely. The father is a wealthy prominent rancher from Horse Prairie and the mother is Miss Kau.
Boy Sustains Severe Laceration While Cutting Kindling
Harm on left thumb endangers possible amputation. Harmon Graeter, son of Mr and Mrs Warren Graeter, was brought to Dillon from Argenta last Wednesday afternoon after cutting kindling. Doctors have not yet decided if the thumb can be saved.

Dillon Hunters Return From Successful Hunt
A Dillon party led by Dr. R. D. Curry and including Happy Hawkins Bud Hartwig Art Wemple Bert McNab and Dave Matlock returned from a three weeks salmon river hunt in the middle fork of the Salmon. They brought home four deer and reported confronting a wide range of wildlife in one of the west’s most isolated regions. The party traveled with twenty pack animals a cook and a horse wrangler and despite warm weather arrived home with a deer for each hunter.

District reports say several Dillon youths face possible state reformatory sentences for vandalism during Hallowe'en pranks. Fences outbuildings and cars were damaged as bricks shattered a plate glass window at Amos Elliott’s home and struck a lamp.
