Beaverhead County High School Commencement Ends
The eleventh annual Beaverhead county high school commencement wrapped with an impressive production of She Stoops to Conquer by the senior class. Diplomas were awarded to graduates including Marjorie Conger and Beulah Provost, with Beulah Provost earning top honors and Miss Bennett receiving the Beaverhead medal. The week closed with an alumni banquet at the Metlen hotel and a ceremonial welcome for the class of 1911.

Victor High Ends Year With Montana Normal College Recital
Victor May 2 The Victor schools closed with a high character entertainment by Montana State Normal college faculty in music and vocal expression. Grace Gaeter head of the Normal college music department performed Chopin and Mendelssohn on piano. Harriet Dunning vocal expression captivated the audience with Paulina Pavlovna and child songs, plus encores. Lucy Herrick of Clarkston contributed Svendsen Romance and Wilianwski Obertas on violin with fine effect.

Memorial Day observances in Dillon began with a 10:30 AM procession from the public school grounds to the Methodist church led by the Dillon brass band and groups such as the G A R W R C and public school children. Attendee Stephenson gave a stirring address and the cemetery was decorated with flags and flowers in the afternoon with many visiting the gravesides.

Mrs Caroline Peterson Dies After Gall Stone Surgery
Mrs Caroline Peterson wife of Peter C Peterson rancher at the old Brock ranch near Dillon died after gallstone surgery in Butte. Born in Denmark 29 years ago she resided in the county for years and is survived by her husband and three children. Remains were brought to Dillon and funeral services are at St James Episcopal tomorrow with interment at Mountain View cemetery.

Helena May 23 The state livestock sanitary board adopted an order to remove tuberculous cattle from dairy premises or from which milk is supplied. Quarantined animals must be branded with a T on the left jaw and kept in a securely locked building that prevents contact with other cattle or animals.
Copper Queen Mine Advances Under New Foreman Peter Mark
The Copper Queen underground work and ore breaking are being pushed under new foreman Peter Mark from Helena Montana. The pump installed last winter keeps water down to 250 feet where level mining proceeds. Thirty five men are employed and the mine ships about three cars of ore per month valued at eighty five dollars per ton copper and gold.

Sad accident at Armstead claims Chas Hill life
A gun misfire at the Armstead office of Rein hardt White and MacArthur Bros. fatally wounded Chas Hill, a well known Beaverhead County resident. Fred Dahlman, Hill’s friend, accidentally discharged a Harrington and Richardson revolver while handling it after lunch. Hill died about 20 minutes later, with Dahlman overwhelmed by grief. Hill leaves parents, a brother John Hill of Redrock, and sister Mrs Maude Veil of Salmon City. Funeral services set in Salmon City under Masonic rites.
