The Dillon Gun Club clinched the Montana Standard postal trapshooting title for the fourth consecutive year. They posted a 738 the week before, narrowly beating Havre Helena and Sheridan who tied with 72s. The club finished the season seven wins to one loss, with only Butte Great Falls in second place with six victories.

Mrs Harriett E Drummey longtime Dillon matron died Sunday at her South Atlantic street home after about two months illness. Word of her death shocked many across the county. Funeral services were held this morning at St Rose Catholic Church.

William F. McAvoy a well known retired Dillon businessman died suddenly at his North Montana street home after a heart attack. Born in Boston he was 69 and had spent years in Colorado as a cowboy before moving to Dillon in 1917.

Grand Matron Eastern Star Visits Mizpah Chapter No. 13
Mrs. Marie J. Nichol worthy grand matron of the Montana Eastern Star paid her official visit to Mizpah chapter 13 at the Masonic temple. She arrived yesterday afternoon and was guest of honor at a 6 oclock reception and a banquet room dinner. She delivered her official message at the business meeting and was greeted by many outside visitors. L. A. Gregory and the training and high school orchestras were in Lima Monday evening to assist the Lima school orchestra.

L K Adams of Dillon potentate of Bagdad temple led the Butte temple pilgrimage to Helena to join Algeria and Al Bedoo temples in a joint ceremonial. About 200 Bagdad Shriners traveled with the uniformed band and patrol, including many Beaverhead county members, and reported an enjoyable meeting.

President Approves Montana Normal College Loan Plan
President Roosevelt signed an executive order approving a $101,500 federal loan for reconstruction equipment and remodeling of three dormitories at Montana State Normal College. The loan, under the PWA division, is public self liquidating. State Legislature approved the loan last winter under the Metien bill.

Federal building plans received for Dillon project
Complete plans and specifications for a new federal building likely to rise in Dillon this summer were received by Postmaster Harry J. Andrus. The Treasury procurement division seeks bids to be opened June 17 for a concrete brick structure with 72 foot frontage on Idaho street, 56 feet on Sebree, and 39 feet high housing the post office Beaverhead National Forest headquarters and three Extension department offices.
