Dillon Gun Club finished fourth in the Montana Standard telegraphic trapshooting tourney as final matches concluded. Jud Brundage and Ross Emerick posted 74s here and in Sheridan with 24s from Barrett and Jones at Sheridan and Barrett Free and Smith here. Dillon’s 74 edged Bozeman 73 but Could not topple Butte Trap and Skeet at 75. Havre tied if it defeats Sheridan in a Bil ling shoot-off at the state tourney in two months.

Dillon Elks Celebrate 11th Anniversary with Dance
Dillon lodge Nb. 1554 Elks held an 11th anniversary party at the Elks home with over 60 Butte Elks members and ladies attending. The Butte and Dillon drum and bugle corps led a parade through the business district and performed an exhibition, drawing high praise. The Dillon lodge was instituted by the Butte lodge on May 18, 1929, and many visitors attended the event.

Dillon's public park and playground project was the topic at a Dillon Rotary dinner. Prin Conrad O Orr explained the plan and possible issues. A campaign to raise 2000 dollars has been continued until Saturday with 1000 dollars already raised. The club voted to hold a Rotary picnic soon. Albert Erickson chaired the meeting and E J Beckett of Missoula attended as a guest.
