Hartwig, Dillon theater owner, orders a Wurlitzer Hope Jones organ costing about $20,000. Only two such organs in Montana, with installation expected around June 15. The organ will feature fourteen musical devices and be operated by expert installers while a visiting musician trains pianist Mrs Pegram.

Brenners Held Up by Bandits on Horse Prairie Road
Sheriff Wyman and Deputy Mooney investigated a holdup last Friday on Horse Prairie. Mr and Mrs Brenner and a visiting young woman were detained for over an hour while two gunmen forced them to the roadside and warned against warning others. A bootlegging motive is suspected. Also reported: Otto Schultz Roy Forester and Ethel Wurtz joined a trip to Butte and Anaconda for a trap shoot.

Beaverhead Milling and Elevator Co starts a large flour mill in Beaverhead county with Beavermont branded flour. The plant features Barnard and Lea mill, 75 horsepower diesel engine, air system, purifiers, bleachers, sifters, and a testing room. Manager A J Foss, miller Clarence Robinson, and a $66 000 investment mark the project from Dilon.

Training School Track Meet Produces Multiple Records
The Training School held its annual event at Normal field on May 15 with many records set and close races. Arthur Harris and Allen Dansie led, each winning four firsts, Harris breaking Elwood Morrison’s 10 yard dash mark by a fifth of a second. Dansie set four class records in shot put, broad jump, 220 yard dash, and 100 yards in 10.3 seconds. Elmer Dunn claimed three firsts including a new shot put record of 20 feet 2 inches. Warren Murray and Henry Hignight also heightened records. Bronze medals went to Harris, Murray, Olmsted and Heavey for successive firsts.

Fire erupts at Mc Laren blacksmith shop
A fire of unknown origin started in the supply office of the Mc Laren blacksmith shop last Thursday afternoon. The frame building suffered considerable damage before the fire department saved it from total destruction. Winds were high, and the flames were kept from spreading to nearby structures. the loss was not insured.
