Group Six Bankers Elect at Friday Dillon Meeting
Dan Martin of Whitehall State Bank was chosen president of Group 6 of the Montana Bankers Association at the annual Dillon meeting. Ted Darby and Walter Shires were elected vice president and secretary respectively, with a district including Butte Anaconda Deer Lodge Twin Bridges Whitehall Sheridan and Dillon. Council Adopts Resolution to Pave City Streets
Dillon city council in a special session approved a resolution of intention to create a paving district to cover about 3.8 miles of streets at an estimated cost of 200000 dollars. June 3 was set for final action and protest hearings. A separate east side paving district proposal drew no action. The meeting also adopted a fire ordinance update and saw Alderman Paul Puyear elected president with Alderman Edwin Gransberg sworn in.
