Next Tuesday May 20 Citizenship Day will be observed in Dillon to honor aliens who renounced allegiance and to recognize 21 year old Americans eligible to vote. District Judge Henry G. Six teams opened the local softball season with three official games. Safeway beat Elels 8 to 5 as Larson and Harrison pitched. Pheasants edged Winn 10 to 9 with Hignight Peterson and Osborne on the winning battery. Firemen beat Gleeds 16 to 3 in an exhibition. Mayor Megquire threw the first ball. Pheasants then beat Safeways 11 to 8, Winn topped Firemen 16 to 12 in another free scoring night.

The Beaverhead County High School concert conducted by Director L A Gregory is free Monday evening May 19. Colored Man Sentenced to 30 Days for Tool Theft
William Hale, 42, colored, was arrested Saturday in Lima for petite larceny after stealing tools from the Union Pacific roundhouse. He pled guilty before Justice L C Ford, was jailed 30 days, and began serving Sunday, with Lima constable L Peterson handling the arrest.
