Funeral Honors for Pioneer Henry Cushing in Dillon
Henry Cushing a longtime Dillon resident with Utah and railroad roots died at 6 30 am last Saturday from injuries after a ladder fall. Born in England on September 9 1834 he helped found Salt Lake Tribune aided in Black Hills mining and served as a Utah volunteer in the Civil War. He was a beloved Methodist and Odd Fellows treasurer with six children. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church with interment at Mountain View cemetery.
