Rural School Pupils Stage First Beaverhead County Music Festival
Beaverhead county rural school pupils performed a first of its kind music festival at the Bagley school auditorium. Directed by Elizabeth Fleming Stanfield with instructors Julia Kannegaard Agnes Cassidy and Gladys Carr. Other participants included Grant Eva Stocker Bannack Wanda Morrison Dell Gertrude Price, the Normal college Little Symphony under Ralph McFadden Arnold Clair, and a Dillon adult chorus and Claudia Faust dancing pupils. The concert featured vocal numbers instrumental selections and dances and aims to foster a county wide rural school music program.

Dillon Tied For Lead In State Shoot As Target Counts Rise
Over 60 shooters from southwestern Montana and Idaho competed at Lima in the Standard telegraphic tournament. Dillon and Missoula remained tied at the top with perfect 75s for the fifth straight Sunday, as Dillon teammates and rivals hit 73 earlier in the 12 team race. John Jackson scored 94x100 after a 50 straight targets run, with Paul Schwab and Herman Peterson adding Dillon’s 25s and Peterson taking the 100 target singles with 98.
